February is a funny month in Geneva. There are the touches of spring with longer days and tiny flowers but the weather can turn nasty and cold at any moment. That’s why we’ve got a Winter Open House on Wednesday, February 13 from 10:00-12:00 to get you out of your home and meeting new friends.

What can you expect?

Women of all ages and nationalities. You will meet many of the Club’s 40+ volunteer activity leaders while sipping a steaming cup of fresh-brewed coffee and nibbling from plates of delicious home-baked treats. Each leader will have a reserved place at a table, where they can introduce themselves, answer questions about their activity, and provide additional details about the AIWC.

From language lessons to hiking, bridge to photography, toddler play groups to painting, community volunteering to sharing delicious food; all of these activities and more will be represented at the Open Houses. In addition, you’ll get more information about some of our upcoming events such as our Old-Town Frankenstein tour, Valentine’s Piano Concert, visit to Carouge’s delicious chocolate factory, our Geneva photo scavenger hunt, and lots more!

These events are designed for everyone to enjoy, from newcomers to long-time AIWC members.  It’s a wonderful opportunity to catch up with friends after a winter hibernation; learn more about new AIWC activities, events, excursions and volunteer projects; and to meet new friends and share perspectives about the AIWC and Geneva in general.  Children are welcome!

As always, delicious complimentary food, coffee and refreshments will be served.
