Ever wonder what a women’s Club is all about? This Wednesday is your opportunity to find out. The American International Women’s Club is hosting an Open House on Wednesday, September 13 from 10:00-13:00.

You may have heard of the AIWC but not bothered to visit because you think it’s only for Americans. But despite our name, which dates back to 1958 when a group of Americans started the Club, we are open to women of all nationalities. In fact, our members come from 47 different countries.

The AIWC is organized by volunteers who share their passions in the form of classes, activities, excursions and community volunteering. From language lessons (French, English and Spanish) to hiking, bridge to photography, paper crafts to mixed-media art, book discussions to sharing delicious food; all of these activities and more are organized by our members. We even have a children’s playroom where mom’s get together a couple of times a week.

If you’ve yet to attend an AIWC Open House, we look forward to welcoming you to one of these busy and fun events. What can you expect?  Women of all ages and nationalities. You will meet many of the Club’s 40+ volunteer activity leaders while sipping a steaming cup of fresh-brewed coffee and nibbling from plates of delicious home-baked treats. Each leader will have a reserved place at a table, where members can answer questions about activities and provide additional details about the AIWC. Children are welcome!

Where to find us

The AIWC is centrally located at Route de Chêne 11, fourth floor. We are next to the Gare des Eaux-Vives which means trains, trams, busses and parking are all right there.

For more information visit our website and RSVP here. Oh! and if the daytime doesn’t suit you, visit our Welcome Apero a week later on Wednesday, September 20 from 17:00-19:00.
