You may have noticed some good luck symbols popping up in Coop/Migros, or pastry shop windows (always the best way to learn the imagery associated with each holiday). Little pink pigs, chimney sweeps, horseshoes, ladybugs, 4-leaf clovers and more.

Many of these symbols represent good luck and fortune across many cultures, particularly the pig. So perhaps enjoy a delicious pork dish, BBQ, or marzipan piglet today to ensure an extra bit of luck in 2021.
