The International Geneva Welcome Centre (CAGI) is the one-stop shop for living in Geneva. It facilitates the settling-in and integration of newcomers and their families, NGOs and visiting delegates to International Geneva.

CAGI is well worth checking out for new arrivals to Geneva. Founded in 1996 by the Swiss Confederation and the Canton of Geneva, they offer an array of practical advice including some great videos on transport, housing and insurance, health and medical and school and family life.   Alongside this practical online advice they have a drop-in centre, offer regular conferences on living in Geneva, organise excursions for newcomers and host a language exchange.

To learn more about their packed schedule and can’t-miss events for newcomers, read their Welcome Programme. They also have a weekly recruitment email which aims to help spouses find jobs within the city.

Access to the CAGI services are more limited due to COVID-19, but their website (available in English and in French) is a great place to start. For more details and to read their Annual Report, click here. Or visit their premises, near the UN and many international organisations, at La Pastorale, Route de Ferney 106, 1202 Geneva.

We are a group of international women living in Geneva, Switzerland. If you would like to learn more about our activities and excursions, visit our website at  http://www.aiwcgeneva.org/
