Now in its 15th edition, the Harmony Geneva Marathon for Unicef will take place today, Sunday, May 12th.  There are a record number of runners, more than 18,300, competing across eight different race formats (Marathon, Half-Marathon, La Genevoise, 10K, Juniors, Nordic walking and more.)

Festivities kicked off on Friday, with the opening of the event village in the Jardin Anglais.  The full marathon, expecting 2,400 runners, will take place this morning, starting at 9:45 in Chene-Bourg, and finishing on the Mont Blanc bridge (race time is limited to 6 hours).

If you are driving anywhere in the canton, anticipate delays and detours.  And if you live along the race route, take a moment to cheer on the racers.  Above all, if you are competing this year, best of luck to you and “Allez!”
