Name: Grand Pré – Les Grottes
Neighborhood website: http://www.ville-geneve.ch
Location: This neighbourhood is very central, close to the train station, close to downtown Geneva and the old town, it is surrounded by parks and offers very easy access to the airport. It is a lively area with many restaurants, cafés, stores, a weekly market, cinemas, and a variety of fun activities. There is a large Manor store only 10min away by foot as well. Various trams and bus lines come through this area and the proximity of the train station is perfect for trips outside of Geneva.
Favorite thing about Grand Pré – Les Grottes: The social mix in the neighbourhood makes it interesting and rich. It is easy to walk anywhere, whether you need some groceries, eat out, go to the bank, or to enjoy a stroll along the lake. It is also convenient to live in this neighbourhood for anyone working with the International Organizations.
Least favorite thing about Grand Pré – Les Grottes: It would be good to see some renovations and a bit of a clean up along Rue de la Servette as it looks a bit dated and unkept.
Why Did You Choose Grand Pré – Les Grottes? It is centrally located and we found a modern, very well planned and clean apartment with a view on the Jet d’eau and Mont Blanc. The proximity of all amenities makes it perfect.
