The AIWC volunteer gardeners have had a busy late summer helping to maintain the gardens at the Maison de Tara hospice. The inevitable weeding kept everybody busy but the hard work was worth it when the hospice staff were able to pick regular crops of organic vegetables and salad throughout the season.
Keeping the paths clear and the flower beds tidy meant that the residents and their families could enjoy all of the garden whenever the sun came out. Now that autumn has arrived we are very busy with the leaves, but we still find time to chat and enjoy the refreshments pressed on us by the lovely Maison de Tara staff. It is such a rewarding group to be with. If you’re interested in joining us, please contact the AIWC.
We are a group of international women living in Geneva, Switzerland. If you would like to join the AIWC, please visit our website at http://www.aiwcgeneva.org/
