Have you heard about the upcoming event in Geneva called “La Course de l’Escalade”?
The event will take place on December 5 and 6. It begins on Friday night with the walking event starting in the village of Veyrier. The next day, on Saturday, the traditional races will be held in the Old Town of Geneva.
Proceeds from La Course de l’Escalade will support two charities that are committed to helping young mothers, minors who are mothers and women subjected to violence, “Solidarite Femmes” and “Foyer Arabelle”. In addition, the AIWC Volunteer Services group would like to help out the women and children in need at “Au Cœur des Grottes” through our participation in the event, therefore the overall cost to join the AIWC in this year’s walk/run will be CHF 40.
We need at least 10 people in order to register as a group, so please feel free to include your children, husbands and friends. We hope to see you there! Here is a link to their English website for more information: http://www.escalade.ch
