Are you moving to Geneva or just planning to move within the area and want to know more about Geneva’s neighborhoods? This is another installment in our series profiling each of Geneva’s neighborhoods. We’ve polled our members who live in the various Geneva neighborhoods and asked them all about their neighborhood.
Name: Vessy (Veyrier)
Neighborhood Website: http://www.veyrier.ch
Location: Sits at the foot of the Saleve, 5 mins from the border with France and an easy walk into Carouge. It is quite an agricultural area with the flat land being used for private allotments and commercial growers. Nearest Marie is Veyrier , a village with at least 3 restaurant/bars, a church and shops. Rafting Loisirs offer sporting activities and childrens camps using ready access to the river at nearby Pont Sierne.
Favorite Thing about Vessy: View of the Saleve- beautiful in different ways with every season

Why Did You Choose Vessy? It was more a case of choosing the house because it was the nearest to the children’s school. The delights of the neighbourhood were discovered later.
