International Women’s Day, recognized annually on March 8th, is a day to celebrate the accomplishments of women, to raise awareness about issues such as violence against women and equal rights, and to acknowledge the impact women have had across the world.

Earlier this month, the American International Women’s Club of Geneva, an organization with more than 450 members from 50+ countries, marked International Women’s Day with a four-course luncheon featuring presentations by local female business owners.

First course

After an aperitif of sparkling wine and passed hors d’oeuvres, the women in attendance were welcomed by the AIWC Club President and dined on a lunch of green salad, coq au vin, a selection of local cheeses, and decadent chocolate cake.

After coffee was served, the women had an opportunity interact with each of the presenters, purchase baked goods, and to try on and purchase the beaded jewelry on display.

Thank you to all who joined us in celebrating this important day!
