Lazy days of summer?  Not so at this Wednesday’s AIWC Welcome Coffee!  We had a great turnout of both new and potential members, as well as long-time members who dropped by to share their perspective on the Club and life in Geneva.

The mix of women in the room truly showcased the diversity of the AIWC: A Swiss native and life-long resident of Geneva; an American who arrived two days before; a long-time Geneva resident originally from Ethiopia; German; British; Dutch; American; and many more.

Over delicious cups of fresh coffee (and with a gorgeous sunny view of the Jet d’Eau from the Club’s windows) we learned a bit about each other, as well as the AIWC’s history, activities and community service.  What a fun and easy way to connect with our membership:  more than 500 English-speaking women, representing 50+ nationalities, backgrounds, ages and interests.

We hope to see you next month at the August Welcome Coffee on Wednesday, August 8th, from 10:00 – 12:00.  And don’t forget to mark your calendars for the Club’s annual Open Houses on Wednesday, September 12th and Wednesday, October 10th from 10:00 – 12:00.

We are a group of international women living in Geneva, Switzerland.  If you would like to join the AIWC, please visit our website at http://www.aiwcgeneva.org/.
