Summer is upon us and it means a new landscape full of beautiful things.   While Provence has lavender, Geneva has sunflowers.   The cheery blooms are doing their sun salutations all over the canton of Geneva.

Myself and a fellow photo group member took advantage of a gorgeous July morning yesterday to go shoot some photos of the sunflowers.

We started in Collonge-Bellerive and Hermance but didn’t really find any blooming fields in that area.   Another friend recommended driving towards Jussy.   And….success!!!   Jussy was loaded with yellow fields.

We found sunflowers near the following roads / intersections:

Rue de la Hospice & Ch des Assets
Chemin Rural dit des Toques
Chemin des Grossins
Route de Jussy (near Château du Crest)

We thought the field across from Château du Crest to be the most extraordinary because of the slope.   You could also take Bus C to see the area where we were photographing.

The fields we saw were at their peak on Thursday July 12.  So, they will probably be nice for another week or so.
