Three weeks to the day till Christmas and I still haven’t done my shopping, never mind sending out my cards! Time is flying but it’s not too late to scoop up some special gifts to please family and friends here in Switzerland or wherever you plan on spending the 25th. What’s really special about the gift ideas you find here is that with the exception of the adorable San Bernardino dog charm (which is included because it celebrates a delightful Swiss icon), all these lovely items are Swiss made, some closeby in the neighborhood of Geneva and in Vaud canton. I hope this little round-up will take some stress out of your Christmas shopping this year…
Below, please find pricing and store location details. Wishing you successful shopping and a happy festive season!

Thank you for sharing some new ideas for Swiss presents. There are only so many Swiss Army Knives one can give. I would add to your gift list, for those living in Switzerland, Swiss cookbooks. I have bought Cooking in Switzerland and Cheese, Slices of Swiss Culture. Both can be found for under CHF 40 at the Off The Shelf bookstore.
Recently I Heard The Food Scout, Amy Eber, on WRS give recommendations, as well. The link is http://worldradio.ch/wrs/programmes/food/food-scout-the-best-swiss-cookbooks-in-english.shtml?33644.
Thanks Little Sparrow! There are so many fabulous gift ideas from Switzerland in addition to watches and army knives…Thank you for enlightening us all. Here is one that I like: KeeeArt. (Yes, there are 3 E’s.)This is a collections of silver or steel key rings, USB sticks, jewellery and other small accessories…all made is Switzerland. http://www.keeeart.com or http://www.keeeart.ch. You used to be able to find their collections at Globus in Geneva… Now I think you have to go to Lausanne and beyond to find them… or try on line. Prices start as low as CHF 7 for some basic key rings… upward to around the CHF 500-price range, many items around the CHF100-range. I bought a key ring holder and use it as a pendant…Fun and different…
